**RESPONDED TO AND SOLVED** WB16 - Two Questions Please - SEO and Bootstrap reCAPTCHA V2 Validation?

Post by ColinM »

Hi Pablo,

Q1 - SEO
I raised this some time ago. When using Master Pages, the Master Page - Page Properties > SEO > Robots field determined that value of the Robots field for all "subordinate" pages. This meant that you needed to have a Master Page for each value of the Robots field - index, follow, noindex, follow, noindex, nofollow etc.

I asked if that could be changed so the Page Properties > SEO > Robots field setting of the subordinate page could override the Master Page setting to avoid the need for multiple Master Pages.

Bootstrap reCAPTCHA V2 Validation
In WB15, there was no way of applying Bootstrap validation to the Google reCAPTCHA V2. Unless my memory fails me, you advised that this would be included in the next version of WB. Having downloaded and using WB16, I can't see where/how I can do that please?

The functionality of the master page SEO has not changed because this would have a major impact on all existing projects.

In WB16, you can use the 'callback' event of Recaptcha to enable the submit button.

 That's easy for you to say  , unfortunately, my brain isn't the size of a planet like yours my friend (meant very sincerely) - I had a look HERE but couldn't make sense of it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :D

EDIT - Oh, and thanks for updating my Avatar. 8)

The idea of the callback event is that the submit button is initially disabled (via the properties of the button)
Then use the callback event of recaptcha to enable to the button.

Thanks for the quick response...

OK.....

The idea of the callback event is that the submit button is initially disabled (via the properties of the button)

That would be via Submit object > Object Properties > General (tab) - check Disabled field right?

Then use the callback event of recaptcha to enable to the button.

Ok, lost me here - which object am I adding that event to and I can't see that event in any event drop down list please?

The (Re)captcha object.
Thanks Pablo - I'm using reCAPTCHA v2 - how do I associate an event with that? If I look at the object properties I only see the reCAPTCHA v2 Properties with the usual Keys, error page, theme, language detection and Tab Index?

Ahhh! Yes, I knew about that one - was hoping I could do the same with reCaptcha2 but evidently not. Thanks anyway Pablo 8)

I was hoping for the same... too bad, because the built-in Captcha is a bit like going back in time. Are there any plans to support reCaptcha2 ?

The built-in CAPTCHA object also supports reCAPTCHA v2 and v3!

GOTCHA! I thought that was going to be the case:

WB16 > Toolbox > Form Controls > Captcha > Object Properties > General (Tab) > change default to reCAPTCHA v2 or v3 or math or hcaptcha.

OR

WB16 > Insert > Form > Captcha > Object Properties > General (Tab) > change default to reCAPTCHA v2 or v3 or math or hcaptcha.

Awesome Pablo - I'll delete that other thread in Suggested Improvements etc.
