An Introduction to Themes

This is a basic template to demonstrates the use of themes. A 'theme' is basically just a simplified version of a style, with only a small subset of properties (text color, background color/gradient/images and borders). It provides a quick way to entire style of the page. Unlike styles, you can only use one theme per page. A theme affects multiple items of an object. For example, the header, content, button etc. Unlike styles where you would need a different style for each item. Themes are global. This means that if you edit a theme then it will affect all projects!

Creating Themes

The Theme Manager offers options for managing themes. You can add, edit, or remove themes with ease.

What is the difference between themes and styles?

A 'theme' is a simplified version of a style, with a limited set of properties like text color, background, and borders. It affects multiple items globally on a page. In contrast, 'styles' offer more control over individual elements and can be applied separately to different items.

How do I manage themes in WYSIWYG Web Builder?

You can manage themes using the Theme Manager. It allows you to add, edit, clone, or remove themes easily. Themes can be customized for various states like Header, Content, and Buttons.

Can I apply more than one theme to a single web page?

No, you can only apply one theme per page in WYSIWYG Web Builder. Themes are designed to provide a consistent look and feel across the entire page.

How can I enable theme support for specific objects on my page?

You can activate theme support for individual objects by using the 'Use Theme' property. When this option is turned on, it will override the local object color settings. You can also enable theme support for all newly created objects in the program's settings.

Applying a theme to the page

The "Theme" property (Page Properties -> Style) specifies the theme for the page, it applies to all theme enabled objects on the page.

The Theme Gallery in the Page category of the Ribbon makes it possible to quickly select a different theme for the page.
