Font Size on Mobile

Post by Dynonxp »

Dear Pablo,
I created a new design for our site, where I combined the standard carousel object (flexible) and texts in Layout Grids (FlexBox). The carousel also contains texts. The same fonts with the same size are used everywhere. In testing, I found that on a Windows computer the font is the same size in all dimensions, but on an Android mobile phone, the texts in Carousel are significantly smaller. I assume the font size is affected by a setting on the phone, but this setting only affects texts that are outside the Carousel, so only some. This means that part of the text on one page will have a different size according to the user settings of the phone. Is there any way to make the phone settings affect either all texts or no texts please?
I prepared a DEMO application, which I uploaded to my test domain: www.ucimemalovatakreslit.cz, user "helena", password "helena". Can you please give me some solution? Thank you. Michael

For me, the font is the same for all objects.

Maybe you will need to clear the cache of your browser?

Oh, I'm using Samsung with Android and Chrome browser. Now I tried Browser Samsung and everything is fine. So I studied the settings in Chrome and it is indeed the case that in Settings -> Accessibility -> Text scaling it is possible to adjust the text size, which unfortunately does not affect the texts in the Carousel. When set to 85%, the texts are identical. Do you see any reason or possibility?

All text on the page is outputted the same way, so if the scaling does not work for Carousel then this may be a bug in browser.

It's likely, I've tried updates and a different phone, but it's the same. Chrome is very widespread, so it will be necessary to find another solution instead of the carousel. :(

I also wanted to use the "Split Slider" extension and the problem is exactly the same with the carousel.

I doubt that this has anything to do with the Carousel. text is text, no matter where it is on the page.

But it is the only logical explanation. Everywhere everything is normal, functional, only with Carousel and Split Slider there is a problem. I checked it at least 10 times.

Are you suggesting I look for another solution? Does https://www.wizbangwebdesign.com also offer templates?

Maybe you can add a breakpoint and make the text a bit bigger for smaller devices.
