refresh meta tag open graph

Post by lasersafety1 »

When posting a link to my website in email, an undesireable image was showing up as a preview image. I read this forum about meta tag open graph, selected an image and published. I tested this with a post to facebook and it shows the new correct image, but when I try to compose an email in Yahoo business mail, it still seems to fetch the old image.

Do I have to wait for some google or yahoo crawler to refresh what is being shown for my preview image or is there a way to force a refresh? Shift F5 didn't seem to do it for my mail. My site is https://lasersafetysystems.com and the preview image I wish to show on all correspondence should be https://lasersafetysystems.com/images/s ... erlock.jpg

Thanks

I am not sure where the email application gets the image from. it may not use the open graph meta tag.
I guess, you will have to figure out how the email application works to understand what happens.
I do not think it's directly related to WWB.

Seems to have corrected itself now after closing down Chrome completely and re-launching my email. Thanks. It is also worth knowing, in case anyone else asks, that this image I have chosen is not used anywhere else on the site. It is only associated with the meta tag and is linking properly. I had read on other places, like for Wordpress, that it had to be an image already elsewhere on your site. This is not true.
