Some security problem

Post by alex4orly »

I have no idea how this happens.

If you go into Google search and type in : 0417557456 , it shows in the first result a link that goes to this page

http://nmaa-rc.org.au/dataviewer.php?pa ... Descending

But, this page requires a Login through Admin->Admin Database-> Reporting

Any suggestions?

Thank you

The content of a dataviewer is displayed in an inline frame, so this is not protected by the login tools.
The login tools can only protect content of the page itself, not linked pages.

OK, I fixed the show of that report by passing a variable value from the loging page, to the report page.
But - it still doesn't resolve or answer my question that

When searching in Google for 0417557456 - it brings up the first result with some information such as the name and email address associated with that number.

Why? How can I block that?

Thank you

If your website is indexed by Google then it will include all linked pages.
If you have now protected the page then it may take some time before Google updates its database.

Yes, I protected the page from showing, but the initial rsult in Google search still shows up part of the information on that page.
I hope tha with time, and due to the page no longer showing, it will be forgotten

Cheers
