Upgrade to WB15 - Partial Upload of Site Pages

Post by LJLachance »

I've upgraded to WB15. I have used it to change a single page for my multi-page site. All other pages were created in the previous version. Before I update the single page, I want to be sure that I can, in fact, just update a single page on my site without impacting the entire site.

I used WB15 to publish the single page to my PC and did not generate a search index. Page name and links are the same as before. If I only replace this one page (with associated files that were modified on the same date) will it work? I don't want to impact anything else on the site.

You can publish only one page (and all of its assets) but global styles and search index will not be updated in that case.
When you have installed a major upgrade then it's always best to publish all files because usually many files have been updated.

Thanks Pablo, that's what I needed to know. I will publish the entire site but I don't want to do that right away. Just wanted to ensure that I would not "break" the rest of the site by updating must one page with the new version.
