1.) Do all the grids work inside the content place holder with the master frame feature?

2.) Now that we can anchor a grid at the top or bottom of a page, can a grid be used as a master object with an embedded page?

3.) Can any object be placed in a grid?

4.) Better to use the grid as a header/footer or to place a header/footer inside a grid? Is the only difference the style and tags available? Is one better code wise?

5.) When importing an image or picture is it best to have it resized/cropped to the exact size you want for your default breakpoint?

yes

not all objects. For example layers/forms or any other fixed/absolute containers.

There is no 'better'. A page header/footer is absolute/ fixed continer . A layer grid is flexible container.

Yes
