***Solved*** Page doesn't load to browser (F5)

Post by Fabian »

Hi
I've got 8 pages in my website at the moment and 7 will go to the browser after I press F5, but one won't. I've tried F5 half a dozen times but it still won't go anywhere, it just sits on the page.

I don't want to publish the site until I've figured out why this one page won't go anywhere as it may mess up the site or not link to other pages.

Has this happened before, if it has can you tell me how to fix it, please?

Thanks a lot.

The page doesn't happen to be php by any chance? If so then please note you cannot 'Preview' php pages locally. To see it working it is required to be published to your host/server which must support php.

Unless the page has "Don't Publish this Page" set, probably not!

The page in question isn't 'PHP' and it doesn't have 'Don't publish this page' set either its just an ordinary page in a website.

Have a look for your self. I hope it's ok to use Google drive as I couldn't upload a graphic to the forum.

Thanks for the replies btw.

As far as I know there is no file extension with the name .reflux A full list can be seen here
https://fileinfo.com/filetypes/web
The most common webpage extensions are .html, .htm, .php, .asp, .aspx. Please rename to .html or if the page is a form or using PHP then .php and try uploading again. Maybe you are confusing the page name with the page extension. Note if the page uses php then you will not be able to preview locally and will need to publish to see the results.

yes, you were right. it didn't have the 'HTML' at the end and that's why it wouldn't go anywhere when I pressed F5.

Thanks a lot for pointing that out.

Your's gratefully.
