attempt to access an unamed file past its end - PC issue - closed.

Post by alan_sh »

Pablo,

I have a web site - latest version of WWB. I opened a second copy of WWB and opened a different site. I did a 'copy' of a layout grid on the second site. When I attempted to paste it into the first site, I got the error "attempt to access an unamed file past its end"

When I created a NEW site and tried the same thing, it worked OK. So, there's something about my first site that doesn't like it. I've tried it on several pages, but I still get the same error.

If I save the layout grid as a new .WBS file, I can import the whole page and then copy & paste the layout grid within that.

Any idea how I can look for the cause of this? There's no point in my creating a demo project to try and reproduce the issue, because, as you see above, it works OK.

regards

Did you open the same version? You cannot copy/paste between different versions of the software.

I used the latest version of WWB, but it was an older version of the .wbs file. Does that make a difference?

No, that should not make a difference. If you open the project in the same version, then copy/paste should work.
if not, then I need more details to be able to help you.

Pablo,

I#'d love to give you more details, but I'm not sure what to give you. The main .wbs file & it's folders is over 400mb. The other one is tiny.

I'll reboot my PC and see if that makes any difference.

OK false alarm.

I rebooted my PC and it's all working just fine. Sorry for the confusion.
