Timer and multiple dates

I want to allow a new image to appear in a layout grid from midnight to midnight every day. I have placed the object and timer in the layout grid, but once I add the second date to the timer, the next day's image replaces today's. Perhaps the object needs its own action, but I don't have a clue.
