With the added feature of Start & End Date/Time - how do you set up the event to activate the object.
Do you just add a 'Show' event and it hides on the end date/time ? The instructions don't make this clear that I can see - before this I understand you would have added two timers 1 to show and 1 to hide. Presumably this is not needed if you already have a start and end time ?

Re: Timer
You set the object as hidden and then set the start and end date/times (the period of visibility) in one timer. Works very well.

Re: Timer
So no Event ? Surely you must have to set an Event so it knows what to do - So do you set one 'Event' just to 'Show' the object, to start it - Yes?AliGW wrote: Tue May 26, 2026 2:03 pm You set the object as hidden and then set the start and end date/times (the period of visibility) in one timer. Re: Timer
Yes, of course the timer needs an event to link it to the object.
1. Create the item that needs to respond to the timer.
2. Hide it (untick it in the Object Manager, even if the current time is within the timer range required).
3. Create a timer with the dates and times (on the Event tab, ontimer > show > ID of object).
That's it. Just try it - it's very easy. One timer per object.

Re: Timer
Thanks ALi. That's nice and clear.
I did experiment and while it worked on one page it didn't work on anther and I couldn't see the difference in the Timer Ext. so that's why I needed clarification. I now believe it could have been to do with not 'hiding' the object to start with - as I wanted it to show immediately I may have left that ticked on the one that didn't work as expected.
Pablo: Might be worth adding these instructions to your tutorial ........
