Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch
A change in subject. As some may know Nintendo has announced the Switch 2. Poor battery life and cartridges only containing a licence key are common downsides. Games will also cost more than for the Switch 1.
Are you gong to get one? Do you have a Switch?

Re: Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch 2 announcement has certainly stirred up excitement and debate. With features like a larger screen, 4K support, and upgraded Joy-Con controllers, it seems like a significant leap forward. However, concerns about battery life, licensing-only cartridges, and higher game prices are valid points to consider.
I used to be pc gamer and still play sometimes when work cooks the head. Without music and gaming work becomes boring. It relaxes mind in many ways. It is such a cure that Microsoft gave some games built in like solitary cards, chess, and others from windows xp to windows 12 and they still continue.
I like racing games and if I buy, I would be willing to buy a racing wheel simulator controller.

Re: Nintendo Switch
The Analogue3D looks very pretty but they pushed back the release 2 times now. Currently at July this year I believe.

I wonder how easy it was for Analogue to get the rights to convert cartridge signals? A system Nintendo probably owns and patented?BaconFries wrote: Sun Apr 06, 2025 12:57 pmCorrect and may still change..they pushed back the release 2 times now. Currently at July this year I believe.

Re: Nintendo Switch
I like to play silly games with friends - so the switch was perfect for me. I feel like playstation, xbox, or pc are more for gamers with more intense games.
I have the oled and don't plan to upgrade. I feel nintendo is milking this one. I would gladly pay for innovation, but this just does not feel like much of a step from what I have. I'll wait to see what they do next.
I am sad that I won't be able to play mario kart world

Re: Nintendo Switch
I got on board with The OLED. I thought the first editions before OLED had too small a screen. OLED model fixed that. However I got one with a faulty battery. It was replaced free of charge just within warrantee. I recently got myself some bigger Joy-cons. Check out the Hori Split Pad Pro Controller - Volcanic Red!
But be aware it does not have batteries or bluetooth.
Not interested in Switch 2 because the screen is not OLED and above all I think it's screen is too large!!

They removed the oled!? I did not know that! Feels more like a step back.

Re: Nintendo Switch
They have and in a way it may seem a step back. But with a "New" screen size of 7.9-inch, 1080p LCD screen over the original Switch's 6.2-inch, 720p display. The new screen has a higher refresh rate (up to 120 Hz) and supports HDR10. You can also connect to a 4K resolution compatible TV although the frame rate is capped at 60fps for 4K output. Even with the lack of the oled screen I am still looking forward to receiving it albeit not the price of games..They removed the oled!? I did not know that! Feels more like a step back
