Content Place Holder

Post by joseluz »

Hi Pablo, my website includes many pages spread across several projects. In one of them, I have a master page with a fixed menu and an inline frame. From the menu, I link an external page (from another project) and, in the "open in another window or frame" option, I enter the name of the inline frame. However, the content is diverse, and it's difficult to expand it as needed, like the Content Place Holder. The question is, will it be possible for the Content Place Holder to function similarly to an inline frame in the future?

An inline frame is standard HTML functionality.
A content place holder is specific to WWB and only exist during design time.
They are both completely different concepts and not interchangeable.

But why are you using different projects? Normally, all pages of a website are part of the same project.

I do it this way because there are some parts of the site that I need to update daily, and this way I only use the smallest file.

While inline frames work very well for me using the iFrame Resize - Iframe Resize - Content extensions, I only thought that Content Place Holder might be better, but I hadn't considered that a page with PHP code sends information to different users, and that's not possible with Content Place Holder.

For a master page, the new feature of being able to incorporate it into a grid layout is great.
