Attempted an unsupported operation. (error message)

Post by quikflixx »

Problem:
Tried to double click and edit my "File Uploader" object and get this popup error message in WYSIWYG: [Attempted an unsupported operation]

May be a simple fix, but I'm not schooled in this area (self educated).
My website still functions properly, I just wanted to tweak this object.

WYSIWYG and its help engine has taught and helped me tremendously, but I'm still learning!

Thanks very much for any solutions.

Where exactly do you get this message?

Thanks for quick reply.
I get the error message in WYSIWYG while editing the page.

When I dismiss the error popup, the "File Uploader" properties window opens and all the fields are empty.

I also have the "PHP File Listing" object on the same page and it opens without error when double clicked.

Thanks

Maybe there is a conflict between the two extensions?

I copied the extension (File Uploader) onto a page by itself and get the same problem.
I then uninstalled and reinstalled the extension (maybe extension is broken) and added object to a new page and still get error popup.

When publishing original page with "File Uploader" to server it functions properly online... I just can't edit it anymore.

I think there is a conflict with another extension in the project.

Hello... I think I'm going to just dump this script and use a third party.

I really don't want to take up any more of your time and mine as well trying to figure out if another script is conflicting with it.
I mean it's only a file upload script... no big deal :-)

Thank you though for your quick response and tips.

Keep up the great work with WYSIWYG... it is an awesome piece of work... even for newbies like myself.

Money well spent!
Matter of fact... I will put your logo back onto the bottom of my website! :D
