Breakpoint set as default option

I have set a default breakpoint a long time ago and now would like to replace it with one of the regular breakpoints already made. Is that possible already?

No, that is not possible. The default view is not a breakpoint. It's the base layout for all other breakpoints. A breakpoint is basically just a list of differences compared to the default layout.

What if the default breakpoint is smaller than the last one? Has it any influence on the project?

The default view (which is not a breakpoint) should be the widest view.
Breakpoints may not be wider that than the default view. This will break the structure of the HTML page.
