The software you mention is now extremely old (2007/8) and any html generated by it is not suitable for today's modern browsers. It may be possible to import the html pages but it will be limited to what can be imported. If any of the pages have Flash incorporated i.e. animations, galleries then these will not be imported.

If he is also wanting the site to meet modern standards such as being RWD ( Responsive Web Design) suitable for the likes of mobile devices such as iPads, iPhone, Android phones / tablets to be honest it would be in the best interest to start again.

As previously mentioned if Flash has been used then again it would need to be removed as it is no longer supported in today's modern browsers and the devices mentioned. Again being honest he will have the same issues with importing his site into any other web design tool /software hence why it be best to simply start again even if hundreds of pages are involved.
