Bookmarks on Images

Post by lporretta »

Hello,

I am a new user (about one hour) and have previously been using Netobjects Fusion for many years.

I have an image with text as part of that image and I want to place a bookmark/anchor around this text and link this to another page in my web project, so that when one clicks the text, the target page is opened in a new browser page.

Is this possible with WYSIWYG?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Do you mean a 'hotspot'?
This can be done with an "image map" object.

Note however that image maps are not responsive so that is why it's hidden in the toolbox by default.
But you can access it via the Insert menu, or customize the toolbox and add it yourself.

Thank you for your prompt response Pablo.

Yes, I do mean an a "hotspot". When I do try the "image map" over the text that I want to link to another web page in my project, I am given only the option of including an image from the files on my computer, rather than being able to link to another web page in my project.

I hope this makes sense as I think I must be missing something under my nose!

You can also enter the URL of an external image.
For example: http://www.website.com/filename.jpg
