Extensions Manager plus other query

Post by Starb7 »

Hi All

I'm looking at the 'Extensions Manager' within WWB and see that some Extensions have a Green Tick at the side of them. What's the relevance of this tick?

I was looking in there as I wanted a 'better' navigation menu. I am trying to use the 'Responsive Menu' but wanted to have different setting when it was minimised (reduced viewport) so it had a different background, etc. I suppose the way to do this is to have two menus and hide the RWD in normal view and visa-versa in reduced viewport view. Would be nice to have an option in the menu to choose different styles based on viewport sizes and this is why I was looking in the ET for one that did that - can anyone recommend one, specifically that uses FontAwesome graphics.

TIA

These are official extensions (made by me).

If you want a different style then you will need to add another menu.
Note that you can synchronize two menus, so you will only have to update the links once.

Ah, that's what I though, thanks for the prompt response as always!

I do have another small issue relating to this and that's the breakpoint trigger. I want to use a menu like the 'Responsive Menu' one as it has the FontAwesome option (cant see any other that have that). I have put this test page up http://www.supake.co.uk/responsivemenu/index.html as I want to be able to have the full menu showing even when the viewport should trigger the hamburger. I though if I set the 'Breakpoint:' value to say 5 (I also tried -1) is would never actually reach that value and so 'hamburger' the menu, but it does when viewed on a mobile device (works OK on desktop). Is there a way around this?

TIA

p.s. why does the FontAwesome stuff always upload even though it's not changed, even though Modified Only is selected?

p.s. I actually like the menu seen here xxx (URL removed) Is there an menu option in WWB that can emulate this, happy to pay for one if it exists. TIA

That should work. Although you may need to add small breakpoint to the page (eg 100) to make that work.

There is no exact menu like in your example, but here is an overview of all available menus:

Added the 100px breakpoint and that worked. Cheers!
