Doesn't look right in Browser

I'm working on a master page, everything looks good in the editor but when I go check it in the browsers it doesn't look right. The content holder's color and border are not shown at all and I can't get the header, content holder, and footer to be centered although I have marked center on all elements.

Hi Pablo;
I made a ftp client for you on my website and have uploaded my files there so you can see. There's only an empty index page and the master page I was working on. Things look good on the editor but doesn't view right on the browsers. I only have an empty index page and a master page I'm working on. When I view the master page the content holder doesn't show the color or border and the table can't center. The header and footer I have lined up but not centered which I was trying to do. Hopefully yo ucan get me in the right direction so I can be productive in redoing my website. Here's the access info and thanks!

it would be easier if you zip up your WB 'project' file so it can be downloaded to see all your settings. Very hard to find the issue with the just the page code.

There is no way to see what you have done based on the HTML code only.

OK, I have zipped the wbs file and have put it into the same ftp folder. Hope I did that right and thanks you guys.

If using the ftp then it maybe password protected so the password will be required to download. The easiest way is to just zip, upload to your own server/host and provide a url. Or uploade to one of the many free file hosts (public) and provide the url the generate.

However, I do not see the master frame used anywhere in your project. Is this intentional?

Note that a Content Place Holder is a 'place holder' so you will not see it if you preview the master frame only.
It will be replaced with the actual content of the page.

OK, I pulled out the content place holder and put in a layer in it's place which now shows the color but centering the header and footer isn't working for me. I'm working on the master page and am a little confused. Take a look and get me pointed in the right direction. Thanks

OK, I saved what I had done and sent the files to the test site, same URL.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong in that I have published the site to the test sub domain. Is there something else I should be sending there or in a different manor then using the ftp program in the software. I believe I sent the whole site up there, which only has an empty index page and the master page I'm having trouble with.. Please advise.

I cannot see what you have done based on the publish HTML, for that I need the project file (wbs).

Check the box 'Relative horizontal sizing' for Layer1 and Layer2 to center.

Also, why are you placing a table on top of the content placeholder? You also have 2 content placeholders on the master page.

The idea of using a master page with a header, content placeholder and a footer is so that when you build all your pages, they will have the same header and footer and the content for each page is where the content placeholder is. So on your index page, you will place all of your content you want (minus the header and footer) and then in the page properties of the index page, you will select the 'master-page' to be used. When published, this will combine the header and footer with the content on your index page.
