Hi all,
I know this question is something that falls outside the scope of WB, but I wanted to ask my fellow WB'ers: Does anyone know of a super-basic app that allows users to schedule appointments at a a business? Got a business that wants to give its customers the ability to download an app that's for the business that will allow the customer to schedule a maintenance on the product that they buy. And then, we'd also like the app to be able to send Notifications to the customer of things like, "It's almost time to come up to the business for maintenance on your product".
I've heard that there are some canned-app solutions if it's just a basic app that is needed--that's along the lines of what I'm looking for.

What your asking in the app is specific to your clients needs just as there website is to them. I don't think you will find anything in either the Google Store or Apple Store specific to your needs.
You will need to try and source a app developer for a quote, stating your clients needs and that you will need it for both platforms and then put it to your client the cost.

If you have realistic expectations about the cost, perhaps you can seek at www.fiverr.com.

I was thinking that this type of thing is, yes, developing an app that's specifically for the business.
But my client mentioned they had been talking to a software-company about having a "Scheduling" thing like this, and the software company said, "for as small as you are, you should be able to just use a scheduling app for your customers--talk to your web-guy about it." It seemed that the software company was saying that as small as my client's business is, some sort of scheduling app that's out there already is the better route.
So no one knows of any canned Android/iPhone apps for scheduling?

Have you googled for scheduling apps?
For example: https://www.capterra.com/sem-compare/sc ... lsrc=aw.ds

Reading between the lines I think they are saying it not cost effective for them to build due to size of business. With that said see WWBmans suggestion along with the followingand the software company said, "for as small as you are, you should be able to just use a scheduling app for your customers
