Link from Icon button not working for me ....

Do I need to do something different when linking to a pdf on the server form an 'Icon Button' ?

If i link from some highlighted text it works so I know the link/url is correct but from the 'Icon Button' nothing happens (absolutely nothing)

In 'General' I have tried 'link button' 'normal button' & 'submit button' - In 'Link to' I have tried 'External Web address' & 'File'

Linking a image/icon is no different from text have you read the following

Did you set the button type to 'link'?
