VIDEO PLAYER GAP

I've used layout grids to basically build my entire website. Everything is going okay. I added the HTML 5 video player to my homepage inside of the layout, which is above and below other layout grids. There seems to be a ton of white space below and above the actual video. On my mobile website, it seems such a waste of space. Is there any way to decrease that?

This is most likely related to the aspect ratio of the video/
