How to make my blog function like the example

A note of caution: I am very much a "newbie" to all this, but love WYSIWYG as it functions like my previous software Serif WebPlus 8. Just recognize that I am NOT a website designer and function at a level way beneath most of you. You may have to talk in very basic language therefore.
What I am looking for is how to make my blogs look similar and function like this example:
http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/
The blog only shows a snippet of the content on the page but when you click READ MORE it takes you to the full article.
You can ignore the content of this site, but I found the blog structure very likeable and easy to use. This is what I am requesting from you. I do not find a similar structure in WYSIWYG.
Any help would be appreciated. My limited computer knowledge is holding me back. Please respond.

I haven't used the blog included with Wizzy (Web Builder). I use a third-party script on a number of sites. The blog provides an online dashboard to add and edit blogs, blogs that show the first part with a click to open the full blog. It is very affordable and works great with Wizzy.
You can see the script and play with the demo at:
https://www.phpjabbers.com/stiva-blog-script/
If if looks like what you are looking for let me know. Several developers have invested in a number of custom enhancements and will be happy to share the modified version with you after you purchase a license.
The enhancements include:
-Displaying the three most recent blog post on any page on your site. I typically use on a client's home page to keep the home page fresh.
-RSA feed - functionality is there, but I haven't used it
-Some enhancements to importing and managing images to insert into the blog body
You can see a couple of implementations at client sites:
https://msecam.com/
- three recent post on home page and blog is on News page

- three recent post on home page and blog is on Blog page

Thank you for sharing your information about phpjabber.com which I found very informative. In examining the two sites you referenced, the methodology does look like what I was hoping for. My only desire would be to have a few more line in the preview of the blog post.
A few questions -
1. The blog exists on my site and not on the third party site? Is this correct? The code exists just to format the blog appearance and function.
2. You referenced customization. How is this done?
3. Which level of license would you suggest? What is the benefit of each? I do like the concept of copyright removal, but that would not be the sole determiner of the level of license.
Sure appreciate the input and advice.

The blog is stored in a MySQL database on your server. The blog is embedded into a Wizzy (Web Builder) page using the HTML tool. Very simple. The customized version also allows you to use an HTML tool to add the 3 most recent blog posts to another page on your site.
Several developers paid for PHPJabbers to do some custom code to the extension. But you get the PHP code with the license and you can edit the code yourself. I have made some very simple changes like edits to the view, but I am not a programmer.
I always buy the developer license since I build sites for others and can use the scripts on multiple sites. If you are only installing once then you would need to decide if it is worth a few dollars more.
If you decide to go with it, then after you purchase let me know and I will share our enhanced version for you to use.
