ISO Excel Wizzard for Data Manipulation

I have an existing client that wants to add eCommerce to their site. I intend to use ecwid. The challenge is importing data from product files provided by the client's vendors. Not that difficult to do a one-time import, but this will need to happen every month or so for three vendors.
I need a way to automate the process to read the vendor file and reformat it to match the ecwid import format. Needs to be very simple for the client to run.
Is anyone a wizard at Excel's ability to read the data from a file and reformat it? There are more details but that is the big picture. I am expecting to pay for creating the solution and then providing assistance with implementing it.

May or may not help you. From ECWID support it seems straight forward but it is using an csv rather than excel.

Yes, I am aware of the import, and as I said, if it were a one-time occurrence then no issue. But each time the import needs to happen, an export has to come from ecwid (to be able to update and not overwrite items), data needs to be pulled into that file, then imported back in to ecwid. Too many steps to do each month with three vendor files if not automated. Excel may not be the tool but seems like with Macros and the data tools it should be an option.

Is it a line by line reformat or do you have to restructure the excel data?

Not sure I understand the question. The vendor files come in as txt and excel files. Have to make sure the headers match the import format for ecwid. So any edits to the product files are for the entire file, not product by product.

That makes it easier. A small macro to replace the headers would do it. But what are the text files for?
If you can post a sample, I could probably make one up for you.
