Why would items , placed directly below text in WWB, appear further below the text when published.
eg. The buttons below the text on this page is placed directly below the text, but is published farther below:

Any advice to fix it will be appreciated.

I see errors on the page referring to the Open Sans font you are trying to load. It is a 400 error. So you are not seeing Open Sans but a replacement font. This replacement font may not have the same spacing and sizing as Open Sans thus creating additional space. Try to fix this error first and then see if the problem persists.

I have added the font to Google Fonts.
Even if I change the font to a web safe font, the issue persists.
