My custom 404 is working but it's all jumbled up...

Post by kreemerz »

I think I know why it's getting jumbled up. I think it's a CSS file or some other file that is interfering with the PHP configuration for the custom error pages. But I'm not sure what to do to fix that issue. As a workaround, I uploaded a seperate project just for the custom error pages. And that works. But there's got to be a more complete solution for this.

Anyone?

I doubt that this has anything to do with the software.
It's more likely a configuration issue with the server.
Maybe it helps if you do not use an external CSS file? Tools -> Options -> HTML

I removed the CSS external. and that did the trick.

My background colors are not showing in the error page. Everything else shows up fine. Missing background... looks weird.

It looks like your web host has an issue with loading external files in an error page.

To solve the problem:
- contact your webhost for assistance
or
- change the background, so it does not use an image.
