latest site built

Post by GrahamW »

here is my latest site I have just completed. The only thing outstanding is the SSL certificate has to be applied and the client is organising a deal with a finance company so I then have to add the code to the site so when heating and cooling units are purchased the customer can do it through finance and the company get a kick back from signing them up.

Very nice and tasteful site Graham. Good design and well working. The only issue is the link you provided. If you click the link it's not the correct url. I had to copy the text url and paste to the browser for get to the site :)

Good work Graham. I do see a small issue with your tagline in the header " YOUR LOCAL HEATING & COOLING SPECIALISTS
" at the 768 breakpoint. The line extends outside of the 768 page width causing horizontal page scroll and readability issues.

Also the ARC License line is wrapping unnecessarily at the 960 breakpoint and the spacing is very tight. Probably just need to expand the width of the text frame a bit to stop the wrapping.

Site design very nice however the GTMetrix rating very bad, I wonder why?
Anything lower then A is impacting your site rating in search results.

I would not be too concerned as scores in Lighthouse and similar do not affect Google searches. However, looking at some of the things it flags can increase usability.

@smile instead of pointing this out why don't you show how your site(s) perform and if they get "A" so can test and then judge you!

Well if you ask my site gets A+ www.gamafix.lt
@smile well thanks, but your site isn't even constructed with WYSIWYG Web Builder it is based on a Joomla template so you really can't take "Full" credit for it can you..whereas the op site is!

You asked for my site and it's rating, I provided you with asked information. You could only blame me for anything if I opened new thread about my website made with wysiwyg web builder. And as you know I started no such thread in this forum, so who is misleading who?

P.S No need to post same in every thread.

I am on CPU. If you slide the browser to about 550 pixels (total guess) a little text overlaps the logo. Not worth a major fix, but might look bad to a client. I also really like the logo if u did that...

If you have the option, alter the anchor text to you link you get at the bottom of the page "web design by graham" ... ideally, the link should be "web design" if your client allows.

Looks great though all around.

Nice site. The elements are solid and I love the way you've done that rotating graphic slide show on the home page.
