To clean it:
1. open 'regedit'
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Pablo Software Solutions\WYSIWYG Web Builder 17\
3. Remove the 'URL_History' item

I had this many years ago in earlier version, I'm now using version 18 and I have to keep clearing the cache, has something changed?

Nothing has changed. This functionality has not been updated in years.
But maybe you are using a lot of large URLs?

I think there have been more requests to clear history or whatever... is it possible to make a button for that? Why go this hard way with one small mistake a fatal error?
