I can validate my sitemap at https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and I don't receive any errors at all, yet when I go to the Google Search Console for my site, it says "Sitemap can be read, but has errors". It then says "This url is not allowed for a sitemap at this location" for all six of my listed pages. I'm using WYSIWYG 17.0.1 and used it to create the sitemap.
My sitemap is at https://lasersafetysystems.com/sitemap.xml
Is it because of the "WWW" in the sitemap, but somehow not appearing on the site?

Re: sitemap validation problem
I will update and wait for google to crawl again and give me a report, but seems like someone should be able to tell us what to look for in the xml file that would cause this error. I have heard, but I'm not sure if it is a bunch of baloney or not, that google dings you for repeatedly submitting new sitemaps.

Re: sitemap validation problem
I had the same error thing you had so when I updated wwb and submitted the sitemap nothing went wrong. You can go to Google Webmaster Tool and submit your sitemap instantly and check if it is ok.lasersafety1 wrote: Thu Apr 14, 2022 6:15 pm I will update and wait for google to crawl again and give me a report, but seems like someone should be able to tell us what to look for in the xml file that would cause this error. Re: sitemap validation problem
I have found the solution. It ended up being the fact that I did not publish my site with the "www" prefix, yet the sitemap creator was adding www to the address of each link. I discovered the error by going to xml-sitemaps.com and using their crawler to crawl my site and create a sitemap, then I downloaded it and compared it with the one created by WYSIWYG (latest version). Clearly the "www" doesn't belong. It is no longer necessary on any new website according to what I'm reading. Anyway, the new sitemap was accepted and scanned with zero errors by google and bing.
Re: sitemap validation problem
Note that WWB does not add 'www', the software uses the values you have entered in the URL field!
