Hi all...I have been sailing along with few issues but today when I edited my website and attempted to publish I get this: to me it might as well be written in Swahali!

Any suggestions?

If you did not change anything yourself then maybe your webhost has changed something?
For example, maybe they have switched to Secure FTP, but you did not update your settings?

Helpful folk, a month ago I asked for assistance when I had trouble publishing....the publish error log presented a lot of info that made little sense to me...it was suggested that my webhost may have changed something...I queried them and they said nothing had changed...without me doing anything it corrected itself...now, it has done it again...a copy of my logfile is below....I would appreciate any comments or suggestions,
Many thanks
Paul

without me doing anything it corrected itself
This confirms that there is no issue with the software otherwise it would not suddenly work again. The software works the same every time you use it.
So, there is either an issue with the server or maybe your firewall blocks the connection?

I have had that happen to me a few times, it was a bad connection to the FTP server.

for some reason my internet was down, I confirmed it by running my FTP program FileZilla and getting no connection there also.

I just waited, and my internet came back up.

I think I would get the same error if the server was down.

I was worried at first

Thank you...I am also unable to connect in FileZilla and it has been like that for 2 weeks now!...In all other aspects the connection to the Internet, including my Cpanel, appears fine.

I am at a total loss of what to do.

if you can't get on your site thru an FTP program, it is not WYSIWYG, If I were you I would get with your provider to find out what is wrong. I had to do that once and they were very helpful I had a setting wrong.
