Web safe fonts

I have read some articles that web sites do not have to use web safe fonts any longer, as web browsers use some kind of repository?

Is this true, or do web safe fonts still apply and are recommended? I am using Roboto font, should I switch to a more standard font you think?

Also one more thing, it seems that the fonts arent that crisp when I preview my page. Any ideas why this is?

As always, thank you for your time.

The software does not have any control over the quality of the fonts.

“use google fonts for non web-safe fonts” font option is no longer available for me on wwb17, how do I get this back??

My font on my project worked fine with that option on wwb15 but now when I uploaded it the font is different and is a much bigger size.

How do I get that option back??

"Use google fonts for non web-safe fonts" is not the correct way to use Google Fonts. It was deprecated years ago and has now been removed.

The Google Font Manager works for all other users so I am sure it can also work for you.
Maybe there is another conflict on the page why this does not work for you?
