When I try to enter a negative margin in a card or text I get a message that I cannot use the minus sign. You have to use the arrows on the side to get a negative number. Is that the intention?

Until now I love what you have done with this new version. Great new functionality.

No, this is not intentional behvaior.
I have fixed it now in the latest build (9/28/2021)
