Slide show doesn't seem to look at rotation flag - on some pics

When I create a slide show I have pictures which are landscape and portrait mode. Some of the pictures seem to rotate OK and some don't.

Can you tell me what you look for to determine how to display the picture?

The images will be published "AS IS" and displayed by the browser "AS IS". The software (and browser) will not rotate images.

It's a pain.

I'm doing a collage. I rotate the picture in the collage so it looks OK. When I click on the picture, the enlarged image is not rotated.

Have a look at the second picture on the RH side collage here https://test.giantsseat.org.uk/slideshow.html

How can I fix this?

I'm sorry, linked images will be published "as is". You will need to rotate the images before adding to the slideshow.

This is due to how the photo was taken by the camera and the data of the image is kept even if you rotate it in the program. Meaning the original aspect will be used so if it was taken at landscape and you rotate to portrait in the program the browser will return landscape.
See the following urls that will explain this better.

BF - thanks for that. Unfortunately, when I view the image in Windows 10, it looks fine. So I have no idea which images need rotating and which don't.

Pablo, I think you need to think about an enhancement to this feature so that you do what Windows does and checks out the meta data. I will add a suggestion.

Sometimes you're better to fix these issues at the source. use an image program that will show the image as it is. A lot of image viewers auto rotate. Surprisingly I used the win 10 photo program and was able to fix and save. Make sure you redo the image selection in the work space else nothing will change. If that doesn't work for you I was able to use my old MS office Picture Manager and Ashampoo Photo Commander 15 programs with the same result.

Well, what I have found is this:

The images that are not displaying correctly in WB15 all have the metadata "orientation" set to something other than "Normal" or blank.

For all of those, I used XNview MP ( free program) to reset the orientation flag. Once done, I then used Windows Photo Viewer to rotate the image to the correct way around - which does not change the Orientation flag. This file can then be imported into WB15 and it all looks OK.

Phew!!! A workaround I can live with (for now).
