Question about bullets

If I have some long text and I want to bullet some of it, is the only way to do this to split the text in two and insert the bullets writing one line at a time? I can't see how else to do this, but it does sound long winded.

I tried to create a style, but the option wasn't there to do that.

Thanks for any advice

Alan

For single lines you can insert a bullet symbol.
For multiple line bullets you can use the 'Bulleted list' object.

Pablo,

I can see the bulleted line object, but it seems a slow way of adding bullets as you have to do them one at a time and cannot import text and then apply bullets to it - unless you know of a way.

Most other text formatting programs (including this forum) allow you to select text and then apply either bullets or numbers to make a list.

cheers

Unfortunately 'real' HTML bullets in text are very difficult to control in what-you-see-is-what-you-get design, that is why a seperate object was created for this.

The HTML Textbox extension is a bit easier to use (for bullet lists) but I think the text has to be entered manually (and I don't know its responsiveness!).

OK - I'll try it your way and see how I get on.

Thanks

Thanks - I'll try that - yes it works well.

Edit - not so well. It's duplicated my bullets and even when I delete the bullets, they return when I press OK.

That's odd, it seems to work fine for me.

EDIT:
Curious, I've tried to replicate what you get without success.

I tried the advanced text box again and the results were "interesting". It crashed the app once (32 bit version) and didn't format it as I expected another time (64 bit version).

So, back to using bullets - only to find they are not responsive. If I set a width at default and then change it in the 420px size, it's changed in the default one. Not quite what I expected :) And you can't say, from the right click menu, "hide in other..."; you have to do it from the object properties (Pablo, did you miss this one?).

But, hey ho - onwards and upwards. I'm still learning.

To get 'pixel perfect' results for bullets, WWB uses HTML tables. Unfortunately HTML tables are not responsive.
In the Object Manager you can use 'hide in other breakpoint' the bulleted list. So you can use a different object for breakpoints or hide it.
