Vimeo video embedding question- not working
Posted: Mon Feb 19, 2018 6:32 pm
First I used the Vimeo tool from Media Toolbox, entered the URL of the vimeo video I wanted by copying the URL off the top of the vimeo page while the video I wanted was playing. When I uploading my web page the Vimeo embedding box showed, but just said "oops, the embed code for this video is not" and the rest was cut off. Thinking I had the wrong URL, thenI tried using VLC media player to get the codec information for the vimeo video I want to embed, did the process again, but got the same result. Ideas? I just did this with the Youtube tool and it worked, though it took an hour to start showing up correctly and I don't know why.
My only clue is that when I used the youtube tool and then went to upload the new web page using filezilla, I could see an object in the folder called "sfwobject.js" that had appeared along with my new webpage and I uploaded them both. When I looked in filezilla at the folder of the webpage I wanted to have the vimeo video show up on (a different one than the page I have the youtube video on,) there were no other objects along with the page in the files that I could upload.
I am still a beginner, so less technical wording would be appreciated!
Not sure how to create a link, but here is the web address:
