Snapdragon Elite compatibility

Hi
I'm considering buying a Microsoft Surface Pro 11 tablet which uses a Snapdragon Elite processor. As this is an arm64 processor I just wanted to know if WB20 will likely run smoothly on this machine (even if it uses emulation). Thanks in advance

The Microsoft Surface Pro 11 tablet runs Windows 11, so I'm not sure if the specific processor is a factor.
Look at how many different processors are being used in today's laptops. The manufacturer looks after how the operating system "talks" to the various pieces of hardware, including the display, storage medium, keyboard, processor, etc.

It really depends if there is s/w to convert the intel code to snapdragon code. I think only Pablo will really know the answer.

The Snapdragon X Elite for all intent and purposes is an ARM-based processor but internally it does have a different architecture to that of traditional x86 processors found in most PCs. It is possible that this difference could lead to compatibility issues with applications that were specifically designed for x86 and I say possible. As I have no access to a Surface Pro with this I can't say.
As for the mentioned emulation this has improved significantly recently meaning that it has better capabilities and that Windows 11 can emulate X86 applications/software to run without issues if needed.
There may be issues with less frequently updated applications/software that rely on older drivers and libraries but for all applications that are designed with cross-platform compatibility specifically those for AMD will run without issues as intended.
With all this said Pablo as the developer will be able to precisely say if you will have any issues running WWB 20 or will emulation be needed.

WWB is currently not optimized for arm64, it will run in emulation mode.
I personally have no experience with this, but the software uses standard Windows functionality. So, I cannot think of any reason why it would not work.

instead of optimizing the software which is lengthy and time consuming, I would recommend picking a better laptop or tablet. I always do recommend latest technology or mid greatest which run everything fine even though not latest.
Sometimes it is not just software's but even certain web apps struggle because of browser compatibility and even hardware issues. So better not to be on the gray line.

Surface Pro user here
This issue was what deterred me from getting the latest release. Not because of wwb, but because I don't want something that I have to spend time thinking if software will work or not on my computer. I also don't like emulators, for a bunch of reasons.
So I'll wait to see what microsoft does next. There's always dell xps lol
but i've used the surface pro for a few years and it would be hard to convince me to move away from it.
