.NET 8.0/9.0 on Windows Hosting (Plesk) is retiring on 10th Nov 2026

Post by GPK5050 »

Hello all...

We got an email today from GoDaddy saying that they are ending support for .NET 8.0/9.0 on Windows Hosting (Plesk) and that our website will be affected. I'm not sure what that means and how it will affect our website.

It's a very basic site... www.empiretravel.com.

I used WebBuilder 19 to create and publish this site. Is there anything I need to do so that after 11/10 our site will still be accessible?

Thank you in advance.

I'm not sure what that means and how it will affect our website⁹.
It means once they stop supporting .NET 8.0/9.0 on Windows Hosting (Plesk) your site will no longer function and not be available to view.
Since you are already a customer of GoDaddy you should talk to them about updating your .NET framework in your codebase to a currently supported .NET version if a update is available or switching to there Linux-based web hosting.
Note that this will in noway affects your use of the software it will still works as it always has only you server configuration will change or provider.

The software does not use any .net functionality, so this should not affect your website created with WYSIWYG Web Builder.
