Custome text/icon button on lightbox

Hi,
I have a sorta follow up question from my previous post. I am trying to build a masonry style gallery and I want to be able to add a 'Full Article' button (either as text or an icon) inside the lightgallery lightbox (next to the other icons).

I want to avoid making the images themselves clickable links as I want the user to be able to click through the gallery easily. Instead, I'd like the option to have a specific button appear in the lightbox UI for images that have an article attached. Is this possible to do without using custom code or CSS?

I have noticed that other lightbox types don't seem to trigger at all when using the preview mode so I can't use their custom options.

There is no standard option to add custom buttons to a lightbox.

But It looks like you can create custom plugins:

However, support for this is outside the scope of this forum.
