Images in text on different pages have the same names

Post by alan_sh »

I have some text and am using the 'inline image' to put two small pictures next to the text I want them to relate to. No problem so far. WWB renames the images to "text11,png" and "text12.png"

I have another page with different text and images - but WWB has renamed the second set of two images to be the same as the first set - and overwritten the png files for the first page.

I think this is a bug - but I'm not sure if I have missed something. If I have, can you tell me what? If not, can we have an update to not rename the pngfiles (or rename them as something unique?

Thanks

Alan

Link to a sample 2 pages which should illustrate the issue:

This is not a bug. You will have to make sure the ID of the text object is unique for each page, because inline images are named based on the ID of the text.

Also, note that inline images is standard Windows functionality (because it's part of the text editor) so I cannot change the way this works.

That has fixed the issue. Thanks.

There is something weird in there though. I have to publish the page twice before the pictures show up. The first time, they just don't. I publish again, refresh the page and they are there.

Unfortunately, I have no control over how this functionality (text editor) works.
But it was either this or no inline images at all. See also the disclaimer in the documentation.

OK - I can live with that.
