your latest build

Post by Mick72 »

Hi
I have been using your software now for a number of years now and since your latest build I am having problems with responsive texts
They are set correctly in the software but when previewed (and going live) the mobile (320px) the text is too big. Even reducing the size they still appear too large. On some older web pages the text is okay. Copying the format into one that is not correct still does not resolve.
On the 'object properties' the 'Enable responsive Fonts' box is ticked.
I don't know how to display screen shots here!! but if you look at the webpage address in the mobile view you can see the large text over lapping each other
The web address is https://broadwayunitedchurch.co.uk
Thank you in anticipation for a conclusion to my problem/

To be able to help you, I need a DEMO project (.wbs file) so I can see all your settings.
Also, please include a description how to reproduce this problem.

I do not need the complete project because that will only take more time to figure out what you have done.
Basically, I just need a small project with one page and object(s) that are relevant to your question.

Note that I cannot see what you have done based on the published page (HTML), because the software has thousands of options and millions of possible combinations.
So, there is no way to know which options you have used by looking at the HTML only.

For further details about how to share a project file, please see this FAQ:

Looking at the source code of the home/index page you have added/placed a script (cookie) at the start of the html this is not the correct place to insert and will break the layout. Please remove this and insert correctly between the <head></head>
Again a quick look at the source of the home/index there is no 320px applied to the div container as the other pages you have applied it to a image itself.

Hi
I removed the cookie script completely but still the same. The script has been in place 6 months or more! Thanks for the tip.

I don't understand your instructions about sending a mock up (Demo)

The procedure is here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=82134

You will have to manually upload the file so it can be downloaded by posting the link to it on this forum.

Just looking at the code real quick I wonder if you are mixing up using responsive fonts in each breakpoint or using the style manager to set the height of the text. I see a class being added to it also. Then I see a page header but the text is not inside the page header. Really need to see your project to help.

Another suggestion is to look at using floating design (layout grids, flexgrid, etc) as it would make things even easier.

All you need to do is remove all the pages except for 1 where the problem is, save that project file under a different name so as to not overwrite your good project and then upload that .wbs project file somewhere where we can download it (ex: your server).

I have used a backup computer and I used a version of your software dating back to last month and it now works fine!!
My main computer uses Window 11 but I am on the Canary Windows Insider Program. So something is not compatible with your software.
I'll keep an eye on it
