Post by ralph salinger »

I am updating my site https://www.jewishvilkaviskis.org/ some pages appear as I desire for example https://www.jewishvilkaviskis.org/2007.html whilst others do not for example https://www.jewishvilkaviskis.org/2008.html
What am I doing incorrectly ?

First note that page names should not start with a number. The same applies to image names.
See this FAQ:
viewtopic.php?t=131

Also, it looks like you did not publish all files. Many files are not on the server.
Please publish all files.

Many thanks for your very very prompt response
I followed all your instructions but without any success
Are these parameters correct for the "Publish Web Site"

Publish to: Jewish Vilkaviskis
URL http://www.jewishvilkaviskis.org/
Host: vmcp180.myhostcenter.com
Folder /public

Under "Edit Publish Location"
Type FTP [Standard File Transfer Protocol]
Description Jewish Vilkaviskis
Host vmcp180.myhostcenter.com
User name ****removed****
Password ****removed****
Remote folder /public_html
Port 21
Log level warning
Force UTF-8 is ticked

Then after trying to upload when I click on "view published web site I get the Not Found notice.
What am I doing wrong ?
Many thanks,
Ralph

When posting please do not provide any information regarding your username and password to your server account for security reasons. If you are still having publishing issues then it is possible your host has changed from using FTP to SFTP you will need to check with them for this.
What does the publish log say? are you sure you are publishing to the correct folder,/location?
See the following:
Note: WYSIWYG Web Builder also supports Secure FTP
https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/publish.html

When looking at your at the source it shows you are using 9* s*co*d webbuilder 12. If so then please note that this is not supported.
A quick look at the source of the following shows the names of the images all start with a number please read Pablos reply on this and the link regarding naming conventions.

Please read carefully

Please set the log level to 'all'
Then re-publish all files.

Are there any errors in the log?
