I hope I did this right

Post by suomi48 »

In my Site Manager, the first page or title of my site is "index". In the tree below that page are the rest of the pages I created. In the folder on my PC which has all the individual web pages I created, each one is a WYSIWYG Web Builder file, and also in that folder are all my .jpg files, which was backgrounds and images. Also in the folder on my PC, are folders with the names of every individual webpage FI created, and those folders contain different files.

Did I create my website right?

It is not ready to publish yet, so I may need a lot of help straightening things out if I messed up.

Thanks.

If you can preview your website after hitting F5 and see it locally on browser and if it shows correctly then the same result it will have when you publish it online. Based on some details which you have provided it is hardly to say everything is correct. So if you are facing problems you can submit a demo project.

All pages of your website should be part of the same projetc, so you should only have one WYSIWYG Web Builder file (wbs).

Okay, so let's start at the beginnng: On Site Manager, the first thing in the list is "index". Should this have a different title, like "Mywebsite"?

The home page should be named 'index', unless your webhost specifies otherwise.

Ok, my home page is named "index". So far, so good.

Now, my home page has links to six subpages. However, those six pages are each separate .wbs files. Should they be Saved a different way, or can they moved to the proper place using Site Manager? I'm not sure what to do or how to do this.

However, those six pages are each separate .wbs files.
That is not correct. All pages should be in the same project.

You can add new pages via the Site manager or the page menu.
It is also possible to import pages from another project.

I strongly recommend to read the help and online tutorials.
