Frequently Asked Questions about Forms
Contact form not capturing comment
I am on WB16. My contact form no longer captures the submitters comments. I am not sure if the happened when I moved to my new hosting provider. Is this something that might be fixed in the latest release? Could it be a setting in the form?
Waiting to see if I would get a discount to go to WB18.

Re: Contact form not capturing comment
Typically, if your form is working and suddenly stops working correctly then something has changed with your host/server. The script is not just going to stop working.
It's possible the newer version could help but without knowing what errors you are now getting It's hard to say. Have you checked with your host to see if anything has changed or been updated on their end?

Re: Contact form not capturing comment
Maybe its the web server's PHP version which may have cause the problem.
Re: Contact form not capturing comment
Yes. Especially since that is what broke my other sites php blog extension. I will probably turn it on to see but my new hosting company wants $5 more a month to go back to 7 for the other site. Hoping to get a discount for a upgrade to WB18. Apparently I can not download the latest extension since I currently on WB16.

Sorry...but how is this related to the software? Isn't this down to your host. Note the extension is not part of the software but provided free (kindly by Pablo) and comes 'asis' so... none of us should really complain should we?but my new hosting company wants $5 more a month to go back to 7
Have you applied for your discount at the following? Note it is only available if you purchased directly from

Re: Contact form not capturing comment
If the form no longer works then you will need to figure out why it does not work.
Without a specific error message it is difficult to say anything meaningful about this.
The Form FAQ may be helpful:

My last field does not get sent.
I can' t remember how I built the form originally. I think I used the form wizzard but it doesn't look the same.
Re: Contact form not capturing comment
You do not need to rebuild your form.
You can open your existing website via the 'File' menu.

Re: Contact form not capturing comment
I am suspicious that the field whose value is not being sent is not part of or imbedded in the form. Can I fix this without rebuilding the form?
Re: Contact form not capturing comment
If it's not part of the form then just move it and make it part of the form in WB and republish.
