WYSIWYG Web Builder 18 not working at all (discussion)

Post by German »

Hello, Pablo and WWB members.

WWB 18 closes after the start. Option (https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/forum ... hp?t=95995) does not work.

Another ESET NOD32 antivirus is used. All possible exceptions (folders, exe name) used - does not work.

---

For 10+ years, this is the first version of WWB that does not launch.

What to do? (is it possible to use mechanics in a program with WWB..-17 versions without these additional settings.)

Waiting for an answer. Decisions :?: Thanks.

Did you make sure all third party applications are correctly setup ?
Firewall, virusscanner, ransomware protection and anything related?
If you search the forum for related issues then these were all caused by third party apps.

Does it work when you disable ESET NOD32 antivirus completely?

Going through all the solutions to the problem, I reached the last one - the installation of version 64. Starts normally.

Previously, I always used (32-bit version) - there were no problems. Perhaps you can fix the situation (64 version, as I remember earlier, was always considered more raw, unfinished)

I would like to work as before with the 32-bit version (in my case, it doesn't seem to be windows defender!)

---

Perhaps other participants also massively had such a problem due to (problems with version 32)

Waiting for your reply

If the 64-bit version works then why not stay with that.
I've been using the 64-bit version since 2018 with no problems.

I use the 64-bit version and I've had no issues. It is not "raw, unfinished". If others were having issues it would be reported.

The WWB18 32bit works the same as previous 32bit versions. Also, it was build from the same source code as the 64 bit version. 32bit only uses a different (older) compiler.
I still think something on your computer is blocking the software. And it wouldn't surprise me if it's related to ESET NOD32 antivirus...

The 64bit has been stable for many years now.

Hello. "64 version, as I remember earlier, was always considered more raw, unfinished" (remember from manuals https://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/).

I don't want to lie, but I remember the recommendation to give preference to the 32 version whenever possible.

Did you try what Pablo suggested in totally disabling your antivirus and trying it?

Pablo, thanks for the answer.

But:

1. I have been using WWB for more than 10 years (no problem)
2. I use many other programs on my PC (no problem)

For me, there are obviously more questions about the current WWB configuration than about the antivirus

---

I think that the question is settled. I just want to sincerely thank you and the development team for many years of hard work. Thanks!

Sorry, but you are wrong. The 64bit version is not 'raw and unfinished'!

As a matter of fact it is more stable, faster and up-to-date than the 32bit version.
This has been the case for years now.

Did you completely remove the virus scanner?
Are there any related errors in the Windows event log?

FWIW

Using V18 since it came out and have not had a single issue running the 64-bit mode on my Win 10 PC.
