How to Align Buttons

Post by vance »

Hello There,

How to align all the 6 blue buttons found on my site at:
https://aplgo.ecomph.net ?

I am using WYSIWYG 17.
I used the template "shopper_2"

I am very sorry because I do not know how to get the URL of my 6 buttons.
That is why I used the URL of my site instead.

When using grids there is no way to make them all line up unless all the text content is exactly the same length which usually isnt the case. You may be better off creating cards and using a card container where you can have all the cards the same height.

Thanks Crispy,

I don't know if template shopper_2 is using grids.
But thanks for your reply.

Actually Mr. Pablo had replied me on this same question many years ago
when my WYSIWYG version was still ver 15.

He told me to use a negative number for the bottom margin like "-20".
But when I tried it now in ver 17, it did not work anymore.

By the way, how will I know if template shopper_2
is using Card Container or Flexible Container?

I can tell by the code it's a layout grid. The ID of one them is call "shirtLayoutGrid". Just click on the properties to see what type of object it is.

Adding the negative margin is only for making sure the button stays at the bottom of the card but it doesnt mean it will line up with other cards because the height is determined by the content inside.

What you need to do is create cards and stick them in a card container where you can have equal height cards regardless of the content inside along with lining up the buttons.

Hello Crispy,

Thanks again.
Your suggestions sound logical.
But first I will have to read the tutorials (if I can find these tutorials) on:

01 How to create Cards
02 How to stick those cards in a container
03 How to make those cards of equal heights

Or maybe you could give me a quick tutorial on the 3 lessons above?

Problem solved.
I simply inserted another layout grid and added 2 buttons there.
Thanks Crispy, Graham and Mr. Pablo

Vance make sure you check the cards on different breakpoints as the button may end up in the wrong place after adding the extra grid.

It's not a ticket, it's a "thread" open to the public so other people can learn from it. There is no need to close it.
