Is there a way to have a pop-up of sorts showing an image and text when somebody clicks or mousesover text in a sentence?

Besides using events to show a layer, you can also use a popover card.

BaconFries: Tried the events...I was able to do the events nicely using images and other text etc. but only on a regular layer where I could stack the objects.
I could not make it work right on a layergrid... is that correct since you could put the object on above the text... is that correct?

A layout grid is flexible container, it cannot be used as popup.
