Ok now...for the solution. The clue is in "I had" and "I had another" and "How much did I have" If we put all of these together it tells the "real" amount prior to what "I had and I have" before all other amounts given. So £13+£7 equaling £20

Having got the correct answer I think I should own up to having cheated - I said that I used the well known BaconFries method, which was using a search engine. As many of you know, BF is a master at finding the answer of an obscure question and comes up with a reference to a webpage that others have failed to find. So that has taught me to search and search again before dashing to the forum for help. Thanks BF.
