wrap-text will not go in a grid layer.

Just want to confirm that wrap-text can go in a layer but NOT a grid layer..
Is this correct?

It will go inside a layout grid if you set the 'Position Children' to floating. This is documented in the help file.

I read that and tried it, but assumed I did it wrong since all the text just bunches together at the top left corner?

That is what 'floating' means. Absolute positioned elements cannot be inside a layout grid. That will break the flexible structure of the grid.
