ipad display

Post by VicL »

Hi Guys,
Another question I'm afraid!
My site seems to display fine on desktops but when viewed on an iPad the display is too wide and off to the right. If I then tap the screen twice, it displays properly and becomes centred.
I have breakpoints set for 768 and have tried both activate breakpoint settings for smaller/larger to no avail. I have all the layout grids set to centre but obviously I'm missing some setting!
Any suggestions?
Thanks. Vic

On my iPad your website looks OK.
What exactly do I need to do to see the problem?

Thanks Pablo,
Not sure. If it looks OK to you on all the pages then it may be OK and I'm worrying for nothing.
On my ipad I have to tap the screen twice or pinch the screen to make it a bit smaller, then it centres and displays perfectly. Some pages seem to display at the right size automatically and others don't.
I'll get some of our members to take a look and report back. Fingers crossed!
Vic.

Some Of your pages on my iPad are wider than the screen as well.

‘Stop Press’ is too wide until I tap the screen and ‘Just fun’ displays correctly (there are others)

Worth checking your settings for these 2 pages and see if you can find any differences.

The "Stop Press' page is too wide, because "Bookmark1" is outside the viewport.

Hi Guys and thanks to all.
It does seem to be something to do with the "Back to top" setting.
I've now removed the up arrow and its layer and the relevant bookmark and everything seems to be displaying OK.

Re Pablo's suggestion of the placing of the bookmark, I'll play with that and see what happens but for now, I'm just pleased to get it sorted and uploaded! Wasted a couple of nights on this, so must get back to the KISS system!
Thanks again,
Vic.
