This extension allows you to add the Google +1 button in your site with ease.

DOWNLOAD

HTML 4.01 Transitional
W3C compliant

How to use?

* First - this is the automatic part *

Put this extension in your site and setup the parameters.
Each property is explained within the extension itself.

* Second - follow these simple points for the +snippet *

This is optional, but highly recommended.

a. The +snippet content:

1. The content between the <title></title> tags will be used as the +snippet caption where the user will add a comment.
2. In page properties / meta tags / description: write a descriptive and useful words, this short text will be used as the description.

b. The +snippet image:

1. 120x120 px minimum size.
2. Must be the first element of the page, it means the "most back element" in the object manager panel -click on the move-to-back icon to ensure this is the first element-; it will be used as the image. You can hidde this object and it will be used only by the +snippet.

* Notes *

- Although this extension does a live-rendering in design-mode for a designer's approach on how the page will look, please note that it doesn't work in preview-mode, you must publish your site to make the extension to work.

* What's new in this version? *

- There is no need to an internet connection anymore for live rendering!
- Updated with the last images from Google.
- A minor issue in IE8 was fixed.

Enjoy!

I love the fact your extensions tackle the little bits and pieces but important factors. So thumbs up from me.

thanks a lot for your encouraging words my friend.
yes, it seems to be a simple thing, but you know? i was doing a "research" (yes, with double quotes :oops: ) because these guys -like many others- don't do the things simpler and w3c compliant. then, i was experiencing some issues in different environments and their codes fall down some times.
when is not possible, also i did some tricks in javascript in a few extensions to tweak them to be w3c compliant.
ok, i stop boring. thanks again for your feedback!

You know none of my customers have ever requested W3C... and probably all my work is none compliant and to be honest it does not bother me the slightest as if there is an issue I am usually on the case.

Hello,

I agree, and I still don't know what is the benefit of making a site W3C compliant, please enlighten me if there is any thing that might be important I missed about it :)
By the way, google, microsoft, yahoo and many others are not W3C compliant!

I'm sorry, this is not an issue related to the extension itself.
Please try with other extension(s) and/or contact the support for further software assistance.

hello all!
although i was asked privately, wanted to share the answer with all of you.
the question is if i can tweak the extension in order to show a custom image instead of the standard one from google.
yes, "i can", but "i can't do it" because of the google's policies.
i tweaked a bit here and there the code because wanted the extension to be w3c compliant, but i cannot do anything regarding the g's logo.
